The City of Lisburn

Visiting the city of Lisburn is a great day out for the family. Hosting many activity centres and shops it has something that caters to everyone.

For those seasonal shoppers, Lisburn Square and Bow Street Mall are the perfect places to go, for the kids Lagan Valley Leisure Centre can provide the little ones with entertainment and for the people that need to just relax; Lisburn has many coffee shops and bistros to unwind in. The main features and attractions of the city are Bow Street Mall, Lisburn Square, Ulsterbus station, Lagan Valley Leisure Centre, Sprucefield, Lisburn Library and the Islands Art Centre. Sprucefield is a large retail park with shops such as Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Boots and Mc Donalds. Lisburn city centre is usually busy between the hours of 2:00-6:00 and quite during the morning and early afternoon, Monday to Friday. Lisburn has many local grocery stores including Centra, Mace, Co-operative, Greens and Poundland. Many schools are also located in Lisburn such as Lisburn Central, Fort Hill, Friends and Wallace. Lisburn is definitely a great day out for all the family and I would definitely recommend a day out in it.
