Choosing a favourite of ,is a difficult job but someone has to do it!.

After many hours of in depth research we have come up with one clear winner, of course you can always overturn the judges opinion by adding your own choice (or by offering to buy us a drink!)

This is our favourite by far, we especially recommend visiting on a Tuesday Nite for one of the best nites in Belfast, with rousing traditional music and the full spectrum of humanity in the crowd which packs this tiny bar (a multitude of faces and languages from all corners of the globe!)

Fibber Magees

The back bar of the Robinsons complex Fibber Magees is the real deal , a spit and sawdust Irish bar, packed to the ceiling with old Irish artefacts.

It is like a step back in time. The peat crackles burning in the huge fireplace and there’s rousing Irish music! It’s uilleann pipes (irish bag pipes), fiddle and tin whistle played with flamboyant precision.

Traditional musicians entertain every night of the week to a crowd of people and the craic is always good. Do not miss it if you want a real nite out in Belfast!
